Upper Goose Pond Cabin Opened May 17

The Upper Goose Pond Cabin, located off the Appalachian Trail, opened for hikers starting Saturday, May 17. The cabin will normally be open with a caretaker present through mid-September. From mid-September through October 17, the cabin will generally be open only on weekends. The tent sites remain open year round. Please help to preserve this gem on the AT by practicing “Leave No Trace” and by camping only in the designated sites. There is no fee for your stay at the cabin or tent site.

The cabin is located off of a half-mile mile side trail and is1.6 miles south of Route 20 in Otis. The site includes five tent platforms, two composting privys and one regular privy.
